ET4S 2020

Eye tracking has become a popular method for investigating research questions related to geographic space and spatial data. This includes studies on how people interact with geographic information systems, studies on how space is perceived in decision situations, and using gaze as an input modality for spatial human-computer interaction.

As an event co-located with ETRA 2020, Eye Tracking for Spatial Research (ET4S) aims to bring together researchers from different fields who have a common interest in using eye tracking for research questions related to visuospatial information processing and spatial decision making.

After four successful ET4S events in 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019, the 5th edition of ET4S will be organized as a co-located event at ETRA 2020, the ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications. Participation in ET4S will require the registration for ETRA. More information about the registration will be available on the ETRA 2020 website.

Update on COVID-19 (20 March)

The General Chairs of ETRA 2020 have informed us that, due to the current COVID-19 situation, ETRA will not take place as a physical meeting in Stuttgart in June 2020. The same applies to ET4S 2020, which is a co-located event of the conference. The ETRA organizers are still in the planning process on how to proceed.

Please also have a look at the ETRA 2020 updates on the Coronavirus.

All accepted papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. The review process continues as planned.

Final Update on COVID-19 (May 2020)

The organizers of ETRA have informed us that, unfortunately, the ETRA 2020 conference had to be canceled completely. As a co-located event, ET4S had to be canceled, too.
